Our Mission
Re-empower parents to protect their children
Our goal at Fortify Your Kids is to equip parents, educators, and guardians with the information and resources they need to fortify their children against online predators. We want to make the digital world a more understood environment for parents, so they can protect their home and train their children to navigate online danger more effectively.
Why We Started
The world is exploding with disastrous reports of predators using personal and school issued tech to exploit and hurt children, and we realized that while ushering in tech integration into schools and homes at breakneck speeds, our nation’s parents had been removed from their primary roles: protectors and guardians of their children. Our founders, who are committed parents, educators, and industry leading digital security experts, started Fortify Your Kids to put parents back in control of their homes and their children and re-establish them as the primary teachers and guardians in their families.
What We Offer
Fortify Your Kids is a subscription-based service that provides high-quality videos and blogs made to teach about the complexities of online risks. Our content covers educational stories, detailed analyses of technology and app environments, and practical steps to make your home safe and your children secure.
Why It Matters
The Challenge
The digital world has become so fundamental to our education and our daily lives, both as children and adults, that it seems impossible to live without. It has been fundamentally integrated into our schools and social lives as a cornerstone of basic function, but it has also changed so quickly that parents no longer understand the incredibly risky app based environments that their children exist on for the majority of their waking hours. Predators know how to use and navigate these environments to gain access to children who are largely unmonitored and untrained in spotting and warding off threats. The availability and functionality of social media with disappearing pictures and end to end encryption makes it almost impossible for guardians to track and stop potentially harmful interactions.
Our service aims to illuminate these dangers, providing the needed tools and knowledge to safeguard the most defenseless members of our society and fortify your home once again.
The Consequences
Children world-wide can and do face the worst possible consequences of online child predation and exploitation, including human trafficking, sexual assault, and even suicide if enough protection and guidance is not in place. Even lower level interactions can lead to harmful content or malicious people that can and does cause lasting emotional, psychological, and sometimes physical damage. The effects of such interactions are not always obvious right away, making it essential for preventive measures to be in place. Fortify Your Kids does more than raise awareness; we provide users with practical strategies and expert tips customized to address these risks. By creating an informed community of careful caregivers, our platform helps to equip families with the safety tools required for a safer life with technology at the center. Through ongoing education and adaptation to the changing digital threats, we help parents and educators stay ahead of the curve, making smart choices to protect their children and students effectively.

Matt Todd
Matt Todd is a parent and student tech safety consultant, head of the Idaho State PTA legislative committee, and former educator.
After working in private education for almost 20 years, Matt transitioned into the tech safety world as most schools and districts integrated tech almost overnight without shoring up all of the safety concerns.
He actively meets and coordinates with both local schools, districts, and state agencies and legislators to help them understand the risk factors in educational technology and how they can empower parents to protect their children.
Our Values
01
Integrity
We aren’t here to tell you we can make the internet safe or that we have a new tech solution. Those are not the answers.
02
Empowerment
The real solution is to empower parents with the ability to meaningfully fortify their home and train their children with safer practices.
03
Community
There is a growing national community centered around parents taking charge of their homes and children’s lives once again, and we wholeheartedly support that.
04
Innovation
There will always be a new dangerous app or site, so we created a program based on principle empowerment to educate and advise parents on best long term practices, not just management of one app.
